The Institute of Risk Management (IRM) is a training and research  organization based in Accra. IRM’s programming is oriented towards:

  • Security, Intelligence and Defense Management
  • Public Health, Trade, IPR and Brand Enforcement
  • Corporate Governance, Regulatory Law and Public Finance

We have access to over 80 highly respected academics, industry and governance leaders who possess skills comparable to the best anywhere in the world.

  • History

    The Institute of Risk Management (IRM) was duly incorporated on the 9th Day of November, 2006. Headquartered in the bustling city of Accra, the IRM is one of the few organizations in the world dedicated to the study of risk management in its broadest sense.

  • Governance

    The IRM is advised by a team of eleven (11) eminent persons

    Esther Appiah

    Esther is a member of Ghana’s National Security Council (NSC). She was Director of the Women and Juvenile Unit of the Ghana Police Service, and previous to that Head of the Special Investigations Unit, Fraud Unit and Homicide Unit of the Ghana Police Service, among several others. She served as UN Lead Investigator in Eritrea, Bosnia, East Timor, Sudan and Ethiopia. She is author of the “Healing Balm” (2006) ..Full List Here
